This week the whole school has focused on anti-bullying. We have learnt that bulling means that someone is doing something to us 'Several Times On Purpose'. In year 1 we have identified different scenarios and said if they are kind behaviours, unkind behaviours or bullying behaviours. We watched a video where someone is bulling another child and suggested what the person bulling and the person being bullied should do. We have signed a pledge to say that we will not bully others. Finally we have focused instead on kindness. Each child drew their own handprint and then 5 different children wrote something kind about that person in the fingers of their hand.
We made the hands into a kindness tree which is on our PSHE display board.
