The children in year 2 enjoyed their online safety lesson all about avatars. First, they had fun designing their own avatars and then we played a game where the other children had to match the avatar to the children e.g. Guess Who? We found out that it can be very difficult know who the person is behind the avatar. We discussed this in the context of playing games and talking to others online. Do we really know who we are chatting to? You can continue this discussion at home with your child and ensure you give permission and are present when they are online. We need to work together to enjoy our online experiences but more importantly keep our children safe!
