As part of our 'Festival of Lights' topic Reception have been learning all about Diwali. We make rangoli patterns using rice, lentils, sequins and coloured shapes. Our key texts 'Chapatti Moon' and 'The story of Rama and Sita' inspired us to make our own chapatti's and clay Diya's. Wednesday was our Diwali party where we dressed up in traditional and colourful clothes, tasted Indian food and learnt how to bhangra dance.
