Nursery have been learning about Diwali. We read the story of Rama and Sita and learnt why Hindus and Sikhs celebrate Diwali. The children made Diwali cards to send to love ones and Diya Lamps to represent good over evil. The children took part in some Bhangra dancing and tried in traditional clothing. We finished our topic off with a big Diwali party where the children wore special party clothes and tried lots of yummy Indian food.
