The children in Year 3 have embraced the poetry week this term. They started exploring many different poems in their first lesson, selecting and then explaining why they liked the poems. They then read through and began to annotate and explore more deeply the poetic devices within their chosen class poem. This is 'Don't', by Michael Rosen. Finally, the children have spent this week polishing their performance skills using changes in volume, actions and the use of props to bring their poem alive.
