How do parts move in books?

Year 1 were given some books with moving parts. We had to use the books to work out what types of different moving parts there can be in a book. We explored the books and identified that moving parts can be: side to side sliders, up and down sliders, pop ups, lift the flaps, moving wheels that turns pictures, and lift out pages.

We then learnt how to make a slider moving part as research for making our own moving part books.
