We have started our Reading Recovery sessions this year. For the autumn term we have chosen some pupils from year 2 to take part, and I am pleased to see their enthusiasm for reading and writing. During their lessons they will have one-to-one support to enhance their progress in literacy. Already I can see them using some important skills which will be needed in the process of becoming a successful reader.
Previous Reading Recovery children have settled into their new classes, and it is wonderful to see their continued love for reading. I look forward to watching them progress throughout the year.
