The children at West Park Primary came together to celebrate and remember the soldiers for Remembrance this year. All of the children across school have made a poppy, which have been collected together and shown outside the school to mark our respect. In class, children thought about different soldiers and animals that died during the war. Year 1 thought about Leonard Jackson, Mrs Harper's great-great uncle who died aged 22 during the Battle of the Somme, July 1916.
