Rocks, Rocks and more Rocks

Year 3 have visited the Think Tank to learn about.... you guessed it... ROCKS! The children took part in a rock workshop. Firstly we identified if items were a rock or not a rock. Did you know that bricks and concrete are not actually rocks? Next we identified different types of minerals using property cards. We then learnt about the lifecycle of a rock, however it's hard to describe it as a rock as sometimes it weaves around, going backwards and forwards between the different stages. A better name might be a life-web of a rock! Our knowledge of rocks is now rock solid! (Haha!)
