Year 1 enjoyed learning about changes in technology over time. We sequenced different types of technology chronologically. We discussed the changes from each model. We then looked at other changes that can occur in technology, for example running out of battery while we are watching things, new episodes of our favourite programmes, someone you don't know calling you. We identified how we would feel for each of these changes. Finally, we read a story about Mo and Jaz. In the story we identified how Mo and Jaz would be feeling, especially when a new scary video came on after their video and they didn't know what to do. We discussed having a safe and trusted adult who we can talk to if we are worried about anything we see online, and we identified who these people might be for us.
