During science week, the children researched various scientists and found some amazing facts about them. We learnt Lewis Latimer invented air conditioning in cars and Stephen Hayles invented the blood pressure machine. Next, the children learnt about boats and how they have changed through time before designing their own boat. We looked at gravity and buoyancy and how these forces impact a boats ability to sail. Finally, in year 3, the children carried out a biscuit investigation - which biscuit is the best dunker? Surprisingly, we discovered the rich tea biscuit took the longest to break in warm water.
