This half term in year 2 our class texts are Mustafa by Marie Louise Gay and The Owl Who was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson. During the first two weeks we have focussed on Mustafa during our Refugee weeks. Its a lovely story about a boy and his family that flee their country because of war and settle in a new country but Mustafa found it hard to settle in at first. We will begin The Owl who was afraid of the dark next and the children are looking forward to it.
