Traditional Tales

In Spring 1, our topic was Traditional Tales.  We looked at 3 different stories, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Three little Pigs and The Three Billy Goats Gruff. The children were able to sequence the events in the story and even started to retell parts of them when role playing with their friends. We looked at different sizes and opposites when reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The children really enjoyed looking for things which were small, medium and big. Finally we looked at different materials when reading The Three Little Pigs. The children enjoyed finding different materials to try and build a strong house for the pigs.
