Year 1 enjoyed their trip to RAF Cosford. While we were there we had a workshop about the History of Flying Equipment, where we looked at outfits, helmets and gloves. Once we had been introduced to them, we were allowed to try some of the artefacts on. Then we had another workshop where we made our own rockets. We used a launcher to fly our rockets and had a competition to see whose rocket flew the furthest. We found a video display about the space race, which we enjoyed seeing pictures and video clips of as it supported our History learning from the previous week.
