Year 1 have been learning about 3D shapes. We have discovered that there are different 2D shapes hiding in the faces of 3D shapes. We completed lots of activities to share our understanding of finding 2D shapes in 3D shapes including printing with 3D shapes to see what 2D shapes we could find, using a feely bag and describing the shape we could feel for others to guess what it was, and looking at shadows that 3D shapes had left behind on a sunny day and working out what shape could have left that shadow.
What shapes can you spot in 3D shapes?
