World Book Day

The children had an amazing time on World Book Day, exploring and acting out We're Going on a Bear Hunt. They came up with actions themselves and afterwards played a game where they tried very hard to wake up a grumpy bear (thanks Mrs Hussain) when they stole the tambourine from next to it. They also took part in a book scavenger hunt, scouring our reading area for books that included things like witches, kings, bears, a dog, the moon and a beach. They also tried to find a character in a book that reminded them of themselves. It was lovely to hear things like "she's like me because she loves to tell stories.
