Year 2 English

A great start to poetry week so far in year 2. The children began reviewing all the nursery rhymes they know and performing them in groups with actions. Before performing we came up with our own success criteria to ensure our performances were quality performances. We performed them and gave feedback then performed them again and saw a huge improvement. Day 2 we learnt a new poem Scarecrow, Scarecrow. The children worked on adding actions in groups and ensuring they were following the success criteria. We all performed the poem outside on the playground and made scarecrow masks in the afternoon. We will begin the learn the poem we will perform to the whole school tomorrow.
