Thank you to all the parents that turned up today for our year 2 Maths Workshop. We went through a typical West Park lesson based on how we teach multiplication in year 2 using manipulatives, pictures and sentence stems in-order for the children to gain a real in depth understanding of multiplication. We aim for the children to not only answer multiplication questions, but also to represent multiplication calculations in different ways and talk about them. The children really enjoyed showing their super learning attitudes to the parents....Well done year 2.
